Greg HiebertGreg Hiebert brings 27 years of studying, practicing, teaching and coaching the art and science of effective leadership. His passion and talent is in supporting organizations and individuals to achieve sustained high performance through building effective and profound leadership capability and capacity.

To improve leadership capability in profound ways requires guided and facilitated action rooted in the organization’s unique culture, challenges and business strategies. Wonderful classroom education can create new insights and awareness but it is in the midst of challenging, relevant work that one learns to produce and master new behaviors. Greg helps individuals and organizations craft strategies and actions that enable and support these new behaviors to occur, be reinforced and sustained.  Greg’s passionate commitment to serving others through deeper levels of authentic and courageous dialogue often creates the conditions for personal and organizational transformation to occur.

Greg’s background is quite eclectic as he was a management consultant for Egon Zehnder International, focusing on helping clients solve their most important senior talent management needs. In addition to helping clients find exceptional executive talent, Greg provided rigorous management assessment, executive coaching as well as trusted advice so that clients would have the tools, frameworks and rigor to improve their leadership bench strength.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Greg was in high technology companies serving in several senior leadership roles to include vice president of operations and vice president of professional and client services where he managed several teams of network engineers, software engineers and consultants. Greg also spent three years at BellSouth Telecommunications serving in senior leadership positions in customer service operations, human resources, leadership development and strategic planning.  While at BellSouth, Greg won several awards for his work on leadership development to include creating and implementing a leadership model and development approach that was used extensively and successfully throughout the organization.  Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, serving clients in the high technology, health care, telecommunications and utility industries especially focused on leadership development and building high performance cultures and teams.

Greg served for 12 years in the United States Army, primarily as an airborne infantry officer serving in a host of tactical and operational leadership assignments as well as serving on the faculty of the United States Military Academy at West Point teaching leadership, ethics and organizational change. 

Greg graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering.  He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School where he graduated with high distinction. He has resided in Atlanta for the last eleven years and is very active in young adult ministry focusing on leadership development. He and his wife, a pediatric nurse-manager, have four children.
